These degrees are designed to be stackable to prioritize a student's employability and maximize earned credits. Students seeking multiple credentials simultaneously or post-baccalaureate credentials should refer to the policies associated with their unique situation. [include link here]

Certificates

Certificates are employment-focused credentials that can be either completed as a stand-alone certificate or as part of a larger degree requirement. Certificates completed as a stand-alone certificate are only eligible for federal financial aid (pending FAFSA eligibility) if the certificate is more than 15 credits and if the recommended term sequencing is more than one term. All certificates are eligible for federal financial aid (pending FAFSA eligibility) as part of the Associate of Science (AS) degree requirements.

Associate of Applied Science Degree

The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree is a two-year college degree offering more focused training in a specific study area. With greater discipline focus and a limited amount of general education, it is primarily targeted to prepare students for specific industry jobs rather than to be highly transferable to other institutions of higher education or across industries. This degree targets fields of study where additional education may not significantly increase employability.
