Overview

As employees are a company’s most valuable resource, employers seek to hire those with a deep understanding of people, policies, legal requirements, and career development. The objective of the human resource management certificate is to prepare students for entry-level jobs in human resources. Upon completion of the certificate, students will be prepared to certify as an associate professional in human resources (aPHR).

Career Opportunities

Upon completion of the certificate, students will be eligible for entry-level human resources positions such as human resources specialist or human resource generalist. It is strongly recommended that students apply and take the aPHR certification exam upon completion of the certificate to further enhance their employment opportunities.

Financial Aid Information

This certificate is eligible for federal aid as a stand-alone certificate or if combined with an Associate of Science degree, Associate of Applied Science degree, or Bachelor of Applied Science degree.

Professional Licensure

This program is designed to enhance employability by developing industry-relevant skills and preparing students for applicable industry certifications; however, it is not designed or intended to lead to professional licensure in any state.
