There are four kinds of student learning outcomes associated with this program.

Student learning journeys for general education and religion learning outcomes can be found on their dedicated catalog pages. Program-specific learning outcomes outline the designed learning process for students as they progress through the program requirements and achieve the desired objectives. This learning journey should inform decisions related to the order in which students complete required courses and graduation plans.

PLO 1: Integrate knowledge and skills across disciplines in alignment with the Ensign College-Wide Capabilities.

PLO 2: Analyze identity and perspective to evaluate a student’s place with empathy within an intercultural whole.

PLO 3: Recognize the interconnectedness of the physical world and define our stewardship of it. Examine and apply perspectives of health and well-being in living and physical systems.

PLO 4: Demonstrate an awareness of genres and audiences by creating written and verbal rhetoric designed for diverse purposes. Analyze and evaluate a variety of texts as part of conducting relevant research while properly documenting sources.

PLO 5: Identify relevant information and apply appropriate strategies and methods to solve real-world problems. Justify conclusions based on quantitative information and/or other pertinent data.
